Purpose
This Device, Setup & Account Policy explains how ASHVPN handles device-based plans, setup materials, configuration files, QR codes, replacements, revocations, and account responsibilities.
This policy should be read together with the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Data & Logging Statement, Acceptable Use Policy, Fair Use Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy, Cookie Policy, and Abuse Reports and Contact page.
Device-based plans
ASHVPN plans are based on approved device counts.
Customers receive access to all live ASHVPN locations included with their plan. Customers do not purchase one location only.
The device count for each plan controls how many approved device slots may be assigned to that customer.
Customers must not attempt to bypass device limits or use one device slot for multiple unauthorised devices or users.
Setup materials
ASHVPN may provide setup instructions, configuration files, QR codes, or other access materials where needed to provide the service.
Setup materials are for the assigned customer and approved device only.
Customers must keep setup materials secure and must not publish, sell, lease, transfer, forward, or share them without written permission from ASHVPN.
Configuration files and QR codes
Configuration files and QR codes may allow access to ASHVPN infrastructure.
Customers must treat them as sensitive access materials.
Customers must not post configuration files or QR codes publicly, send them to third parties, upload them to public forums, or store them in insecure public locations.
ASHVPN may revoke and replace configuration materials where misuse, compromise, sharing, abuse, or security risk is suspected.
Private keys and credentials
Customers must not send ASHVPN WireGuard private keys, passwords, one-time codes, recovery codes, payment card numbers, API keys, or unrelated sensitive personal data.
ASHVPN support, refund, abuse, or legal-request processes should not ask customers to provide WireGuard private keys.
If a customer believes a configuration file, QR code, device, or account email has been exposed or misused, they should contact ASHVPN promptly at [email protected].
Device replacement and reissue
Customers may need a replacement configuration when changing device, losing a device, reinstalling the VPN app, or resolving a setup issue.
ASHVPN may require reasonable verification before replacing or reissuing access materials.
ASHVPN may revoke the old device slot or configuration before or after issuing a replacement.
ASHVPN may refuse repeated, suspicious, abusive, or unreasonable replacement requests.
Revocation and suspension
ASHVPN may revoke device configurations, suspend device slots, or restrict access where:
- payment fails, expires, is reversed, or is disputed;
- the plan expires or is cancelled;
- the customer breaches ASHVPN policies;
- configuration files or QR codes are shared, sold, leaked, or misused;
- ASHVPN reasonably suspects abuse, fraud, security risk, or unlawful activity;
- ASHVPN is required or reasonably expected to act by law, provider, payment processor, regulator, court order, or infrastructure partner.
Customer setup responsibility
ASHVPN may provide setup guidance, but customers remain responsible for their own devices, local network, operating system, VPN app, updates, and internet connection.
VPN setup or performance may be affected by device settings, app permissions, local firewall rules, Wi-Fi quality, mobile network restrictions, router settings, operating-system updates, or third-party software.
ASHVPN may ask for reasonable troubleshooting information, but customers must not send private keys, passwords, payment card details, or unrelated sensitive data.
Location access
Each active plan is intended to provide access to all live ASHVPN locations included with that plan.
Locations may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, faults, provider issues, routing problems, security response, abuse mitigation, capacity management, or deployment changes.
ASHVPN may add, remove, pause, replace, or change locations where needed to operate the service safely and lawfully.
