Purpose
This Fair Use Policy explains how ASHVPN manages fair access to the service and protects the network from misuse, excessive load, and behaviour that affects other customers.
ASHVPN is designed for lawful, secure, everyday VPN use across supported ASHVPN locations.
Device-based access
ASHVPN plans are based on approved device counts.
Customers receive access to all live ASHVPN locations included with their plan. Customers do not purchase one location only.
Customers must not attempt to bypass device limits, share configuration files publicly, resell access, or use one device slot for multiple unauthorised users or devices.
Fair use of network resources
Customers must use ASHVPN in a way that is reasonable and does not harm the service, other customers, ASHVPN infrastructure, providers, or third parties.
ASHVPN may take action where usage creates unusual or excessive load, service instability, provider complaints, abuse complaints, payment risk, or legal risk.
Examples of unfair or excessive use may include:
- sustained activity that overloads a node or location;
- automated traffic that affects service quality;
- behaviour that repeatedly triggers provider abuse reports;
- activity that causes blacklisting, rate limiting, or disruption for other customers;
- attempts to run public proxies, resale services, bot infrastructure, spam systems, scraping systems, or attack traffic through ASHVPN;
- attempts to bypass device limits or configuration controls.
Location availability
ASHVPN aims to provide access across its live supported locations.
Locations may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, faults, provider issues, routing problems, security response, abuse mitigation, capacity management, or deployment changes.
ASHVPN may add, remove, pause, replace, or change locations where needed to operate the service safely and lawfully.
Customers should not rely on any single location being available at all times.
Speeds and performance
VPN speed can vary because of customer device performance, local internet connection, Wi-Fi quality, distance from the selected location, provider routing, congestion, maintenance, and third-party network conditions.
ASHVPN does not guarantee a fixed speed, fixed latency, fixed route, or uninterrupted connection.
ASHVPN may manage traffic or capacity where needed to protect service stability, security, or fair access for customers.
Prohibited high-risk usage
This Fair Use Policy works together with the Acceptable Use Policy.
ASHVPN must not be used for abuse, fraud, spam, malware, harassment, piracy, credential attacks, scraping abuse, platform abuse, child sexual abuse material, terrorism-related activity, or unlawful activity.
ASHVPN may suspend or terminate access where high-risk or prohibited activity is suspected or confirmed.
Service protection actions
Where needed, ASHVPN may take action to protect the service, including:
- contacting the customer;
- limiting, pausing, or suspending access;
- revoking device configurations;
- moving or replacing infrastructure;
- applying rate, capacity, or security controls;
- refusing refund requests linked to abuse or policy breach;
- terminating service for serious or repeated misuse.
ASHVPN will aim to act proportionately, but may act quickly where needed to protect customers, infrastructure, providers, payment processors, or legal position.
Reporting problems
Customers can report service problems to:
Please include:
- account email;
- device type;
- ASHVPN location used;
- approximate date and time of the issue;
- screenshots or error messages where helpful;
- whether the issue affects one location or all locations.
Do not send passwords, WireGuard private keys, one-time codes, or unrelated sensitive information.
Relationship with other policies
This policy should be read together with the Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Policy, Data & Logging Statement, Refund & Cancellation Policy, and Abuse Reports and Contact page.
If there is a conflict between this page and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service should control unless a later reviewed policy states otherwise.
